The Girl in the Labyrinth is the story of seventeen-year-old orphan Oyiza who walks into a rabbit hole, beginning on the night she decides to flee from the orphanage where she was dropped off as a kid of seven years old. She has decided to flee the orphanage because she has been sexually assaulted by the patron severally. On the night she flees, walking a lonely express, she comes across a young man who has been beaten to a pulp and left for dead. She decides to help him.
The young man she helps, unbeknownst to her, is someone she knows from a rather long story she has no knowledge of because she lost all of her memories before the Orphanage. But seeing him triggers memories from her past. Since she is pregnant as a result and with nowhere to go, the family of the young man takes her in.
But all that glitters isn’t gold in this twisting tale by Wafikah Adaviruku, as Oyiza finds herself and her unborn baby in the middle of a sinister plot made of lies, drugs, and murder.

We spend all our lives chasing happiness only to discover that it was not a thing to chase but a thing to embrace.
